Welcome!
Welcome to Dog Bloggery. I’m Tashi, and Caryn is my human. Together we are an animal therapy team. Animals can help people. For example, did you know that reading to animals helps kids learn to read, and that it’s beneficial to the animals too? (We love the attention). Your library may have a kids reading program with dogs, but right now nobody can go to libraries. So Caryn and I decided to make a blog and see if kids might like to read our stories online. Of course, adults can enjoy our stories too. Everyone is welcome, it’s all about ME and my adventures!
We publish a new post weekly-ish (scroll down for the latest). If you subscribe we’ll send you updates. But that’s not all! We would love it if you would participate. You could send us stories, drawings, photos – whatever you want to share – by clicking on the “Submit Your Story” link in the upper right. If you have a pet, you can read the blog to her. If you listen carefully, your pet might tell you what she wants to say back! If you don’t have a pet, you can write about YOU! We don’t get to see our friends right now, so maybe we can make friends here. It might make life a little bit sweeter for all of us.
The Seen and the Unseen
Early each week I start thinking about what to write for the blog. But there was a conundrum this week - Everything I thought about writing was unseen or had no picture! That's a problem for [...]

Hello hello, toodlydoo and twumbledydum, how was your week? Mine was a week like any other of the past thirty-eight weeks (but who's counting?)..... We hiked... I spent interminable amounts of time in the studio waiting [...]
Truth and Faux
All told, I've been writing this blog, and the newsletter before that, for some 25 weeks now. It's given me a chance to brush up on my fauxdography skills...as you can see I'm getting much better [...]
November 12 Blog Post Redux: Can’t See the Forest for the Leaves II
Something went bloggo-wrong with the post publishing last night, so we are re-posting for your reading pleasure. There's been wind, and there's been rain. And the ground looks like the sky - leaves, leaves, everywhere...the more [...]
Can’t See the Forest for the Leaves
There's been wind, and there's been rain. And the ground looks like the sky - leaves, leaves, everywhere...the more to play with, I say! I guess that's why they call it fall, because all the [...]
Ups and Downs and Turnarounds
Autumn continues to offer some some beautiful sunny days, in between the rain and wind. It's been a week of many things, but since everything is connected, I'll pile it all in here, package deal, OK?... [...]
Autumn Thoughts
It's Autumn for sure. Rain, leaves on the ground, cooler weather, and the last harvest from the garden. I like this time of year because it isn't so hot and dry. And I am a [...]
That’s a Big Lot of Happy
"That's a big lot of happy". That's what the guy who passed us on the trail today said. I'm pretty sure he was talking about me. I'm generally a pretty happy dog, and that fellow on [...]
A Nose to Behold and The DAP Pack
In the dog world not much has been going on the past week (though I have heard that there is very much going on in the human world....and I am glad Caryn keeps things calm and [...]
Nature at its Best
Hello my friends, It's officially Autumn. The rains have come. It is so good to smell fresh, clean air again, after all the smoke. I may have only learned the name for one more toy, but [...]
Updates on Life
Remember I told you about the resident orcas a couple of weeks ago? The day after I posted that blog The Center for Whale Research reported that a new baby orca in the J pod was [...]
What’s New Pussycat?
Not a heck of a lot going on this week - in fact, for most of the week, Caryn and Richard wouldn't even take me for a walk! Too lazy? Maybe not; they like going hiking [...]
