Dahlia and I have been having sleeping contests. I tell you, that girl can sleep. I wonder who sleeps more, koala bears or cats….
It’s been a very, very, (very), long time since I’ve gone anywhere except the backyard and five houses down the street and back again. I can verify that time does not fly when you are not having fun. Caryn told me one more week, and then I can….what?! I can walk to the end of the street and back again? You have got to be kidding. And she mentioned that, oh, by the way, you’ll have to be on your leash for a while longer too. Really??!!
We met a nice lady and her dog at the harbor this week (OK, I admit it, we left home and drove down to the harbor for a change of scenery)
I suggested that Caryn could carry me around like this pup and we could take to the hills. She laughed and said I had a good sense of humor. I will admit, looking at all those boats out there, I considered jumping ship.
But having patience (somewhere), I’m going to wait this thing out. Caryn is trying to keep me entertained. We visit Honey Bunny in the backyard
She shows me funny jokes on Facebook:
this one pretty much describes Dahlia:
The highlight of the week was receiving a present from Henry. He texted Caryn (all sort of dogs are catching up to my writing skills these days):
Hi Tashi’s Mom,
I got this new ball that giggles and stuff and I thought Tashi might like one too, so I asked my mom to buy him one and guess what she did??!! When will you be here so I can leave one in your car? Love, Henry
P.S. It’s a tad obnoxious, so it might encourage Caryn to get you out of the house and on the trail again so she doesn’t have to listen to it!
Caryn brought it home today. It looks just like Henry’s
and does sound pretty funny. Dahlia thought it was me making all that noise!
It’s really nice to know that friends are thinking of me
That’s all I’ve got. The problem with sleeping a lot is that it is making me sleepy. So I’m going back to bed.
I’ll let you know how things are going next week. Maybe I can convince Caryn to cross the street and go to the park. But I don’t know. She’s a tough cookie, and she’s the one with the thumbs, so I may have to wait for her cues. xox, Tashi ♥♥
